Fitts' Law (correct spelling = +bonus points)

A + B log(1 + D/W)...and the heavens trembled.

Fitts' Law is basically about how long it takes a user to use a device. So Fitts came up with this crazy equation that we still use today that helps us to design effective programs and devices that cause minimal time to the user.  Yay!

I agree about the bonus points. I am glad that Brian told us what this paper was about.

55 years and still going strong! The original paper only used an oscilloscope yet his law is one of the most important in good computer interface design.

A law that holds so strongly is one to behold, and this one is definitely a good one to look at.
